Electrostatic paint; It is very important especially as the measure of the materials that will enter the oven. Our current oven size is 4000 x 2200 x 2200, which is the top oven size on the market. In this way, large and bulky materials can be easily painted.
Electro Static Paint Process
The process of creating a surface image layer on the materials by applying paint with the static method in special cabinets with the help of +- poles, and baking them in the oven at a temperature of 200-250 degrees is called the electrostatic paint process.
The most important issue in the electrostatic paint process is the cleaning and drying phase of the material to be processed.
Preliminary Preparation for Electro Static Paint Process
Raw dkp plks coming from the factories for processing are lubricated with special industrial oil to prolong their shelf life. Elements such as welding sprays on this oil cause chemical pollution on the surface. These impurities must be removed before painting with the help of special solvents.
Otherwise, the paint will not hold as a layer will form on the surface. After the degreasing process, the rinsing and drying processes continue.
If we talk briefly about the preliminary preparation process;
degreasing
Rinse
Sorting like drying is more possible.
How Should the Electro Static Paint Booth be?
The cleaned materials are loaded + load in the special electrostatic paint booth. In the Electrostatic Paint device – the charge is loaded. When the paint is sprayed with a gun, it adheres homogeneously to the material like a magnet.
Static is very important during this process. In other words, there should be + load in the cabin and – load on the paint. And this situation needs to be stable.
How is the Arrangement of the Materials in the Oven in Electro Static Paint?
The materials are hung on the material trolley or conveyor to be given to the furnace with the help of metal wire. These materials are hung in the oven with the help of special metal rods and can also be hung one under the other depending on the situation.
What Kinds of Paints Are Made in Electro Static Painting?
Electrostatic powder painting can also be done with rough or flat painting, as well as in painting like texture. All kinds of colors in nature are used and coded with ral codes. Apart from these RAL codes, special paint codes can also be ready.
Electrostatic Paint Materials
Especially in powder coating, surface treatment is applied to the materials. Therefore, it is also very important after dyeing. Because the smallest scratch or impact that may occur on the surface can damage the paint surface.
Therefore, it can be wrapped with special packaging materials to minimize this impact. Such as stretch, burst nylon, cardboard, cardboard… In addition, special transport trolleys can be made.
How Should Temperature Sensors Be Positioned?
There are sensors inside the electrostatic paint oven. There are at least 3 sensors, these sensors are front, back and middle. These sensors should be in the form of a homogeneous distribution.
How should the ventilation grilles be?
In the electrostatic painting process, in order for the temperature outside the oven to show the desired level, the ventilation vents inside should be adjusted well and the air flow should be adjusted if desired. These grilles should be adjustable with the help of covers.
How should the burner selection and interaction be?
The burner selection should be determined according to the density of the material to be painted and the dimensions of the oven. While selecting the burner, selection can be made according to the type of fuel such as gas, liquid or solid fuel burner. This selection process can be adjusted in itself, for example, for a gas burner as a tube or natural gas burner. For this, the fuel to be used, the capacity of the furnace and the dimensions of the furnace are important.
Electrostatic Paint Temperature Setting
One of the most important elements, especially in static powder paint work, is temperature settings. These temperature settings are written on the paint cans. While some paints (light-colored paints) need to be done at 180 degrees, some paints are ready at 210 degrees. For this reason, the values written on the paint boxes should be applied in electrostatic powder painting.
Insulation in Electrostatic Painting
While it is usually 100 mm, it should be 150 mm, and the insulation density should be 80 danse.
Electrostatic Paint Material Density
If the materials with heavy mass density in the oven are heated slowly. The property is 7.8 gr/cm³ in metal materials. For aluminum-based materials, it is 2.7 gr/cm³. Therefore, the warm-up times are directly proportional to the density.
Another issue is the number of materials to be loaded into the furnace. If these numbers are high, the amount of heat they will absorb will also be high.
What are Furnace Drive-in Tools?
In particular, conveyors or trolleys are used. Loss of efficiency is high in faults with these vehicles. There are also 2 different systems for car transports, with wheels from the ground or rail from the top. It is more advantageous than the top rail wheel system.
The most advantageous solution is the conveyor line system. In this system, uploading is made from one point and downloading from the other point. Therefore, the elements such as spillage during transportation of the materials are excluded and they are gained from the road.
Why Waiting in the Oven?
In electro static paint, the material is heated in the oven a little and the material is applied inside and waited for 5-10 minutes. During this waiting period, the powder paint on the material melts a little with the help of low heat and adheres to the material. Therefore, the paint will not fly when the paint fans are running.
What Does Ashing Time Mean?
The time elapsed while the paint sprayed in powder form melts in the oven and fully adheres to the material is called the ashing time.
While this ashening starts at 150 degrees in some paints, it starts at 170 degrees in some paints.
Electrostatic Paint Which Color Is Used Most?
In general, colors such as 7032, 7035, 9005 are painted. 7032 color is generally used in panels.
Where Should the Shelves Be in Electrostatic Paint?
In static paint, shelves should generally be close to the paint shop and should be kept away from conditions such as humidity and humidity. If possible, it should be kept in special rooms and under no circumstances should the lids and boxes be left open.
